Sheila knows that life has its challenges and that reaching out for help can be an overwhelming step to take. She has assisted adults (18+) to work through a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and insomnia. It is her goal to help you feel understood and supported throughout your time together.
Sheila came to work in counseling later in life, which has provided her with a range of life and work experiences. She is trained in several therapeutic techniques, and primarily uses an effective form of therapy known as cognitive behavioural therapy to help you with making changes in your thoughts and feelings. She is also guided by additional forms of therapy including acceptance and commitment therapy, emotion-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused brief therapy.
Sheila has worked with many adults struggling with their emotions and provides a non-judgmental space to help you find your strengths again.
